It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!

Evenings in Seattle have been thoroughly mystifying. Looking out of the window in the cool and breezy night I see the skies turn orange and then indigo and then black. I like the way the world looks when the sky goes dark. It kind of frees something within me, makes me feel lofty and grand and as large as the view seen through the window. The world through my window. Taking me outside of myself momentarily. I muse on the titillation of this experience.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:
I love not Man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal.

- Lord Byron
